Doug Easterday was born into the home of a Pastor and was raised in a conservative evangelical home.  He was raised in Illinois , Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota.  As he grew up in the church he was blessed by his heritage and church training.  He learned many scriptural principles and memorized much scripture as he attended church very regularly.

As he observed the church and the body of Christ at large, he noticed that many in the church  were not happy, struggling with many issues and not walking in victory.  He did not see a consistency with what the Word of God said and how people actually were living.  

That began a burden for the Body of Christ to be healthy and fully alive and victorious in their walk with the Lord.

He went through a training period of 7 years within the Daystar Ministry.  After his training time he was sent by  Daystar to south Texas where he Pastored his first church and directed a “ministry center” helping people overcome the problems of their past.  

His burden increased and became more focused upon the yearning for people to understand  who God  really is and correcting the wrong concepts people developed about  God.  Research and study led him to learn that most people, including most Christians, had a very distorted view of God and His character.   

More crying out to the Lord for why these distorted views, led Doug to the places that most effect our concept of who God is.  They were: 1) The family (especially the Father) 2) Education 3)Media   4) Religion.   As he looked at each of these areas he found that each area for the vast majority grossly distorted the character of God.

It was about this time is when one of Doug Easterday's mentors, the late Jack Winter, began talking about what he called “The Father’s Love”.   This ignited something within Doug’s own heart and the pursuit of Knowing God as Father has been his passion ever since.
